Curved Brick Walls | Crafted By Robots
I know for some of you this might be old news, but I just stumbled upon this one again, and thought I shared it with you guys in the utopia section of the archtopia.
When you look at this amazingly organic walls you might start believing the one that built it is really passionate about walls, or is really OCD. But the fact is these crazy shaped walls are in fact the result of robots, and a highly advanced computer construction program, and they are able to curve the wall not only on two axis, but actually in a 3d fashion.

Energy Efficient Lamp-Table – Firefly
At first glance this might look like a ordinary glass table with a cool design, but there’s more to it than that. In the middle of the table there are solar panels. The table was meant to be an outdoor furniture for restaurants or homes, and is supposed to make use of the solar panel to store energy during the day. At night this table can be lit up, and the attached lamp can use the stored energy to lit up the area. This is Firefly.

Firefly Top
There’s a push button located in the center which is pressed to turn the light on. So whenever it gets dark, just like a firefly the table can be made to glow with a ‘natural’ source of energy. In addition to this, the lamp can also be used to highlight a message, symbol or word at the bottom of the table, since it also has the provision of keeping a stencil beneath it. The Firefly has been designed by Vuk Dragovic.

So, since I am too a iPhone user, and a Mac fan, I will share with you my favorite applications, or on short apps that I think every designer and architect should have on their device.
