Whether you live in a warm climate where the sun shines for most of the year or your enjoyment of the outdoors is seasonal, your backyard can be an important area for entertaining guests or relaxing and spending time with the family. Where spending time outside depends on the season, a few easily stored items are all that are needed to achieve the desired look and purpose, but in those areas that enjoy long summers and mild winters, living space can be extended to include the areas outside your back door.

Home décor for the outside of the home has become increasingly popular and choices range from the standard patio sets, lounges, porch swings, picnic tables, and grills, to couches, televisions, wall hangings, and outdoor kitchens. Fountains, sculptures, plants and flowers placed in just the right spots lend an artistic flair and can reflect almost any theme you might imagine.

Outdoor furniture comes in a wide range of styles, sizes and materials.  From formal outdoor furniture made of metal or wrought iron, to wicker tables and chairs to hammocks that sway to and fro, there is no shortage to the options available.  When you are considering entertaining outdoors, think about how your furniture is arranged on the patio.  By grouping certain pieces together you can create a few different zones that will encourage conversations and fun.

Large Conversation Zone

One of the most important zones or areas on the patio is the large group conversation area.  It usually consists of two or more multi-seat pieces of furniture.  On a patio, that could mean a pair of two-person gliders or love seats facing one another.  A comfortable chair at either end of the love seats would also be a great addition.  Include a small, narrow table in the center, or a footrest that doubles as extra seating.  The goal is to create a space where multiple people can gather, share conversation and enjoy the company of a large group.  Depending on your entertaining style, this might be the largest zone on your patio.

I found this on the Contemporist website in furniture. I love concrete as a material for furniture, actually I’ve wanted to start a business with this, but that remained at the stage of concept and sketches. Anyway, this collection is awesome, and if you love modernism, than this has the perfect lines for you. I know, the house in the background is brilliant, and yes, I will give you details about it after the pictures, aight?
