In this quick tutorial, you’re going to learn how to create cool SVG files that can be used in conjunction with VideoScribe, a software developed by Sparkol.
How To Create SVG Files Part I
First you will need a high quality image that you can work with. Either by tracing it, or by converting it into shapes and paths. To do that, you can use Illustrator or Inkscape. In this example we will use Illustrator, as it’s one of my favorite pieces of software ever developed by adobe.
To get your image, a royalty free one I mean, go to: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/images/ . That’s where I’ve got my snowboarder from. I then import it into Illustrator, by dragging and dropping the image in.
