I bet you always dreamed about those amazing textures that you can map on your object seamless, to make it look surreal, and let all of them colleagues thinking how you did it, where you got those incredible materials… right?
Well, probably that’s just me, but ever since the firs year of university I wanted to have these incredible textures, and it’s been a while until I discovered one of my best source for materials, and today I’m going to share it with ya’ll architects and designers all over the world.
So yeah, this one I’ve been keeping for a while, but why not share it? So there you go, enjoy Maxwell Render Resources.
Of course, you need to be a member to see and download the textures, but registration is free, and so are the materials.
If you’re an architect, or a designer (web or interior) you definitely got to a point in your career when you need high quality textures for your work. This website will respond to your needs, and provide the best of the best in this field.
I’ve been using the textures Arroway provides for a very very long time, and I am sure you will find them useful too, no matter your line of work. The texture map perfectly on 3d objects, and have a variety of channels and maps you can play with. You can either buy an entire volume, or download for free the textures that most suit your needs.

Yeah, we love web design too here at Archtopia, and we want you guys to have fun here as well. So we’ll find resources for your works too. We’ll also post the best web designs we’ll find. On the way we kind of forgot about the website’s theme and main core idea, so we want to make it up to you, and make it worth your while here. That being said, this is our first post regarding webdesign resources. The fonts this guys post now and then on Font Squirrel will blow your mind and make you wanna jump around being happy… others may react differently (dancing, singing, or start drinking… we take full responsibility for the consequences) .
If you like this new section of Archtopia, and have suggestions or questions, we’ll happily answer your queries. Also, if you want to help your fellows, the cool designers all over the world, submit an article, or just drop a link to a nice resource website you have found.
For the DIY kinda’ guys, here’s a software from Autodesk, it’s free and it’s best suited for drawing floor plans and seeing them in a 3d View right away. Autodesk Project Dragonfly
I’ve stumbled the other day on this little piece of wonder. It’s basically everything you need to design your own floor plans with little or almost no knowledge about architecture or design. You can play with it’s features and see what you can make out of it. I find this useful for the over demanding clients that know what they want, but can’t really express it in words =P.
With this software almost everyone can design their own home. The software functions pretty much like a architecture program, and for the architects or the designers familiarized with the Autodesk’s products, this should be no hassle.
