WordPress Internal Server Error 500 with 1and1 WebHosting
Problem: After updating the blog to WP 2.9 everything was running smooth. But when opening some of the plugin setting pages the server responded with a “500 Internal Server Error” – especially when using plugins like “XML Sitemap Generator for WordPress” . After a while I found out I can’t even login to my admin panel.
Diagnosis: PHP is running out of memory.
Solution: If you are running your own root, dedicated or virtual server this is an easy bugfix: You just have to change the php.ini of your server and provide more memory to your PHP installation. On a shared hosting server – like at the webhosting solutions at 1and1 you often don’t have access to that central php.ini. But there is an easy workaround:
Create a text file and name it “php.ini” (without the quotes) and with a single line of code in it:
Apple iPad and how to think useless | Review
Review | Apple iPad – new Toys for big children

Ok, I was short on time the last couple of days, but still, I couldn’t let the occasion pass and not debate upon the new Apple’s baby the “great” “all new technology” “smartest thing we’ve ever worked on” and all other epithets the gadget received from the producer and the Apple fans. {can’t stop thinking about the iPad presentation and the guys trying to convince me that they started with a price that’s affordable for everybody: “only 500 bucks”| didn’t they say the same thing about the iPhone first gen???}

iPad - new, useless and with a big apple logo on the back! BUY NOW
So yeah, this might be a re-scaled version of the iPod, and yes, it may provide a great user experience all over, but some things just can’t be ignored when you look at it’s features. So here we go:
If this Allure LED Lamp doesn’t kill Incandescent, I don’t know what will

- Allure LED Lamp on the Floor
Well, probably this lamp won’t kill incandescent lamps altogether and at once, but it’s gonna slay some of them for sure. It’s called the “Allure” and it’s a pretty amazing floor lamp. It looks like a fantastic set of tentacles. Multiple light sources from the same lamp – that’s amazing! Amazing! And not only that, but while the lamp base is meant to stay in place on the ground, the lamp post rotates. Gorgeous, isn’t it?

- Allure LED Lamp Remote
The best part of the lamp is the remote. Why? Probably because it looks fabulous. But let me tell you about the remote anyway, ok? The remote’s got a power switch, a top light activator, a low light activator, and an RGB button. What do you do with that? You turn on all the different colors! At the base of the lamp is the source of the colors.
Simon Gorski | ZEMBO – Zero emission Boat

A new concept in Boats! Zembo’s the name, and ridin’ is the game!
Even Narwhals let some gas go once in a while. This boat we’re about to describe has zero emission! When the beans don’t go in one end, the beans don’t come out the other! It’s called “ZEMBO” because it is a zero emissions boat. How does it get around then, you might ask? It’s got a wave generator! And a fuel cell, too. I’m totally pumped up about the wave generator though, most of all.

12 m of pure silvery loveliness. Oh dear, that’s a lot of space! It’s a motor boat made to fit right in with the rest of the premium daycruisers. Lightweight construction of recyclable Aluminum, Monohull has fabulous gliding capabilities and makes for an easy chunk to propel.

Inside The Empire Hotel | Deluxe King | NEW YORK

Found this the other day, and thought I should share it with you. The hotel is definitely a piece of work, and the quality of services offered inside is well known. So a little about the building and the interior design, because this is my main focus:
The Empire sits right off of Columbus Avenue in the heart of the Upper West Side, but it feels more like a swanky downtown hot spot, where the happening crowd sips mojitos on mohair stools by candlelight. The décor of the property is anything but modest. A chocolate-brown and gold-flecked palette is jazzed up with fierce but fashionable tiger-print throw pillows and cotton-velvet chairs.

The custom furnishings, fixtures and fabrics make all 420 rooms feel like sexy, modern apartments with a nostalgic feel. Woody wallpaper, ebony accents and walnut floors pay homage to nearby Central Park. The soothing teak bathrooms, rainfall showerheads and L’Occitane bath products offset the otherwise dramatic décor, a retreat from the bustling streets of NYC.
