When a family purchases a house, unless it’s a new build, they usually want to change the kitchen and bathroom.  When changing the bathroom they will first of all:

• assess the size of the bathroom
• decide which types of sanitary ware they will wish to install
• estimate the size of those items
• consider  the doorway
  • how the room is entered
  • which way the door opens
  • whether that needs to be changed
• consider the window
  • is it an opening window
  • will any sanitary ware installed affect the ability to open that window?
  • The window gives light and maybe people want light for example, an area for putting on make-up

The shower and shower doors are another issue to consider.  If the bathroom is small, the family may decide to:

• install a shower over the bath – this saves space and yet provides a functional shower

Bathroom. What a cool place, right? You get clean in there, relax, and probably fall asleep in there too sometimes. I know a lot of people that love to spend time in their bathrooms, so this is one of the most important rooms in your house. (you can argue if you don’t agree)

New and innovative designs for bathrooms don’t seem to be such a big deal nowadays, because there are a lot of designers doing a rather good job with it, but when you find some Foster designs, you start to wonder if anybody can compete.

Foster is the name behind the fresh face of bathrooms – these elegant modern vanities will take your bathroom from yack to beautiful with one simple addition. The Piaf vanity designs boast a minimalist appeal in their simple lines, but it’s not bare-bones for these beauties. What you can see in the following images it’s not only a fresh look and feel, but a new way of thinking about a bathroom. The unusual curving countertops of these modern vanities add some “oomph” to a fully functional essential.

Foster Bagno - Piaf Vanities

Modern design with smooth lines and flair come from Lasa Idea. These bathroom furnishings seem to come from a futuristic reality, and their clarity color and light have to power to inspire you. Here are a couple of pictures with Lasa creations. Enjoy.

PuraVida by Duravit

New York, NY – Duravit, a leading manufacturer of innovative bathroom furnishings, has launched PuraVida, a complete bathroom suite designed in collaboration with Phoenix Design and fittings manufacturer Hansgrohe. PuraVida brings poetic purity and clarity of form to the bathroom, fusing minimalism and elegance to create a sleek, yet gentle, flowing and graceful look. The collection is Duravit’s second collaboration with Phoenix Design. “Everything about this range is completely subtle, nothing is excessive, nothing is pretentious,” said Tom Schönherr of Phoenix Design. In designing PuraVida, Schönherr and partner Andreas Haug sought to modify pure geometry in order to create a sense of gentle movement. To that they added emotion, based on Schönherr’s sense that, “In the future, there will be a need for a new form, for new emotion. Everything will become more joyful and more lively.”
