If you are having a baby anytime soon, your thoughts are straying to so many different things that it will be difficult to focus. The health of your baby, how you will deal with the lack of sleep, or the issue of creating space and a place in your home all run through your mind. One thing is for certain; your child will need a place to sleep and an area to store the many clothes, toys, and accessories that come with having a new baby.

Somewhere between a do-it-yourself textile kit and a make-your-own craft set, these small tiles can be assembled into anything from modest wall art and modular play forts to suspended light and sound barriers.

It is, in fact, this strange ‘in-between’ status of these tile modules that makes them so fascinating – they are not made to do something specific, but are also not without useful DIY project possibilities. Some pictures show people interacting with schematic projects or creating something playful and fun without instructions or a plan.

These really cool sinks by Decor, an Italian company, take your powder rooms and bathrooms to a new level of cool. The Qkiaoi sink is masculine yet sculptural, taking its inspired shape from a spoon, with a handle that extends to form an integrated towel rack. This cool sink is truly a decorator’s dream.
