Imagine your office being an extension of your home – a place where facing Monday mornings do not feel so much like a chore; where working late nights do not feel quite as intrusive.  Wouldn’t that be nice?  After all, since there is no avoiding going to the office, why not make that office your home away from home?  Not only will it make heading to work and being at work more comfortable, it will also increase productivity – something that is sure to please your employer.

Think of your office is the same way as you would your work wardrobe; you want it to project a certain image – professional yet personal, falling in line with the corporate culture, yet distinctly you.  If you are a lawyer or accountant, the look will be more tailored, to suit the nature of your field.  If you are a graphics artist or advertising executive, then your office should reflect the fashionable, more creative side of your field.

This might seem weird at first, but you’ll get used to it, I know you’re strong. A floating office is not something you see every day actually, so this prefabricated concept might suit your needs.

The H2Office was originally conceived as a floating office unit. Although its design is quite versatile so it could be remodeled and used in many other ways. It could become a living place, a meeting/working area, a play room, a dining area and so on.

As the office the unit provides enough space for one or two people to work in comfort. It also features plenty of storage space, an external sun desk to relax after a meal on a kitchenette, and a pull-out bed for ocassional overnight stays. Extras includes a microwave oven, fridge, wind turbine, solar panels, flat-panel tv, air conditioning and so on. The price starts from £59,950 ($135,000).

If this make you think about pit dwelling, then yes, you are right, this is inspired by that type of dwelling, and yes, it is transformed to fit a contemporary space in Saijo, Japan.

“When I create , I always think that I want to find the charm of the plan. A client is a couple with three children hoped there are bright openhearted space, and keeping the privacy. This site is a field before, and bearing stratum is in the minus one meter from the ground side.Therefore, we thought support according to the composition of not the ground improvement, but a half underground from the beginning of the plan. The leftover soil by excavating the ground was used to making the hill, that thing is enabled the function of the garden on the exterior and guard their privacy from, house’s neighborhood. The upper floors than a half underground are composed by only the pyrami-shaped roof, the lighting was token in the skylight.”
