motion code: blue, which is an industrial design studio with emphasis on yacht design, has enhanced its areas of operation by another design discipline; they offer architectural concepts and its development until implementation planning.
The studio has just finished their reference project: a Taiwanese shipyard was designed, planned and visualized.
Outgoing from an existing u-shaped hall and production building for motor yachts, the studio has the task from its customer to add an office building, green and recreational spaces as well as a showroom in a very representative and modern way, inspired by contemporary European architecture. Part of the briefing was also that the yard should get strong landmark-like characteristics.
The office building was designed as an elongated and elevated element which closes the u-shaped halls optically as well as for a floating appearance.
This structure contains VIP-areas, meeting rooms, offices for employees and CEOs, terraces, a yoga room and language course facilities. Supported by 2 infrastructure cores and columns, this part of the yard is both, very remarkable and functional.
Underneath, the designers planned a kitchen area and facilities as well as staff restaurants and a cafeteria. a very representative entrance area connects the showroom with the VIP-areas in the office wing, visitors and customers can enjoy information, interaction but also recreation, to visit the yard is a holistic and remarkable experience.
The Showroom is the heart of the building complex. It’s designed as a neutral room that offers a museum character in order to attract the interest of the clients on the beautiful vessels. visitors and potential customers should experience the yacht and the yacht brands values with all senses. the smell, the music, the lightening moods, the multimedia which is shown on walls, all materials and surfaces should fascinate and create a holistic and unique experience. lounge groups offer space for communication and discussion. a multimedia wall offers additional information.
In general, the showroom is multifunctional; from launch parties over press events to private presentations is a wide range of usages possible. the room is able to offer presentation space for max. three 50 feet yachts.
Large window surfaces enable fascinating views of the yachts without unveiling them fully, a gallery offer people to have a look on the boats from higher points of views; the room hosts the yachts and its design in an optimal way.
An adjacent green outdoor area offers space for BBQ, relaxing or walking around.
Small surfaces of water and waterfalls connect different levels as well as different in-and outdoor areas and create analogies to the yachts and to the sea, the façade with its ornamental-elements acts in reference to the water world and enhances the recognition value of the building.
The whole yard represents the attributes of modern motor yachts for design oriented yacht owners; it creates an attractive and aesthetically appealing atmosphere for the yachts production, presentation and selling.
